Better Collective Enters Nigerian Market Through Partnership with Punch

The prominent gaming entity, Better Collective, has formally ventured into the Nigerian market via a tactical alliance with the esteemed local news platform, Punch.

This agreement will empower Better Collective to manage the sports wagering segment of Punch’s digital presence, furnishing sports data and associated offerings to its extensive viewership.

This signifies Better Collective’s inaugural collaboration with an African media organization, and Punch’s influence stretches beyond the continent, encompassing a substantial audience in Europe, North America, and Asia, boasting a social media network exceeding 11 million followers.

Jesper Søgaard, CEO and co-founder of Better Collective, conveyed his excitement about the partnership: “We are immensely pleased to unite with such a respected news entity like Punch. This not only enables us to collaborate with a frontrunner in the Nigerian market but also establishes the groundwork for our expansion within the African continent.”

Adeyeye Joseph, Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of Punch, remarked: “We are thrilled to partner with Better Collective, an energetic and technology-driven enterprise. We are confident that this collaboration will empower Punch to provide top-tier content to Nigeria’s growing sports betting community while propelling audience expansion and revenue creation for our company.”

This alliance follows closely on the heels of Better Collective’s remarkable 2022 financial outcomes, which witnessed a 52% surge in revenue to €269 million (approximately $292 million), accompanied by a 34% organic growth rate.

Enhanced Cooperative, at a recent investor gathering, unveiled their roadmap for the times ahead. Their current standing is strong, but a key element of their future approach entails absorbing a number of different firms. It’s evident they have their sights set on ambitious growth.
