Catena Media Appoints Per Hellberg as New CEO

Online Lead Generation Firm Names New Chief Executive

Catena Media, a company specializing in online lead generation, has revealed the designation of Per Hellberg as its latest Chief Executive Officer. Hellberg will assume the position from Henrik Persson Ekdahl, who has functioned as interim CEO since October 2017.

Ekdahl took on the role following the exit of Robert Andersson and will now revert to his position on the Catena Media board. He passes the leadership to Hellberg, who joins the organization from Nordic Gaming Group, where he supervised its acquisition by Betsson AB.

Hellberg possesses a substantial history in the iGaming sector, having also held the CEO role at Readly International AB and senior marketing positions at Sony.

“We are thrilled to greet Per to Catena Media,” remarked Kathryn Moore Baker, Board Chair. “He has a robust digital foundation and a wealth of expertise in guiding rapidly expanding, international teams. His prior roles have showcased his capacity to propel expansion within dynamic and evolving sectors.”

This appointment coincides with a period of substantial expansion for Catena Media. In its most recent financial statement, the firm declared earnings of €20.1 million, representing a 63% surge year-over-year.

Hellberg conveyed his own enthusiasm regarding the opportunity, stating: “Catena Media is an exceptional organization with a captivating past, a nearly unparalleled pace of growth, and immense potential.”

Ive consistently been captivated by organizations with a distinct mission and a passion for accomplishing remarkable feats. That’s the type of atmosphere where I flourished over the last ten years. It’s exhilarating to contribute that expertise to Catena Media and join their path as they persist in expanding and leaving their legacy.”
