Renowned cricketer Kevin Pietersen, a worldwide Betway representative, will be a recognizable figure throughout the tournament, offering his perspectives on Betway Insider. The competition aspires to become a significant force in the global T20 landscape, aiming to motivate a new cohort of athletes and enthusiasts.

Commencing on January 10th, 2023, prepare for a cricket spectacle! Thirty-three matches will illuminate six prominent South African cities: Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), Cape Town, and Paarl.

“Becoming the title sponsor of the inaugural Betway SA20 is a privilege,” remarked Betway CEO Anthony Werkman. “This partnership emphasizes our dedication to cricket and strengthens our standing as a frontrunner in the sports wagering sector.”

With the global cricketing community focused on South Africa, the anticipation is tangible. This sponsorship serves as a testament to Betway’s commitment to the sport, further cementing its presence on the international cricket stage.

The squads vying for the title are the Durban Super Giants, Johannesburg Super Kings, MI Cape Town, Paarl Royals, Pretoria Capitals, and the Sunrisers Eastern Cape.

A prominent figure in South African cricket and the league’s commissioner, Graeme Smith, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This is a significant league for us, and we are delighted to have Betway become a part of our expanding sponsor group. They are an international brand with a genuine passion for the sport, and we eagerly anticipate their contribution in helping the Betway SA20 connect with new supporters globally.”
